CBA:

Contemporary British Architecture

Written by James Bichard & Rosie Chang

Hebei Publishers, Beijing 2003.

Started in 2000, this book features 60 case studies of British Architecture completed around the turn of the Millennium. Serving as a snapshot of British Architecture at it finest, it collects together a broad cross section of projects - from nationally funded museums and theatres, to small residential and public realm works.

Designed to coincide with China's winning 2008 Beijing Olympics bid, the book will be published throughout Asia in both English and Chinese. In response to China's growing interest in British design, the projects featured illustrate the potential of architecture and its contribution to a nation.

Architectural practices featured include: Richard Rogers Partnership; Foster & Partners; Hopkins Architects; Stanton Williams; Nicholas Grimshaw; Softroom; Haworth Tompkins; Terry Farrell; Michael Wilford; to name a handful.
